There are some things in life that just look best in black. Just ask Italian designers Versace, Gucci, Natuzzi & Co. who base their collections with a stable of beautiful black fabrics. With the right form and the right fabric black can be classical, edgy and beautiful. We’re sure that some of these designers wouldn’t mind the black sapphire twin lounge in their Living or Home Cinema rooms.
The premium Black Sapphire fabric is made for the twin lounge. Standing alone, it looks as good as a contemporary couch and could be mistaken for a designer sofa with a structure inside. Of course, when you sit on it you realise (much to the delight of your body) that it’s filled with super-comfy polystyrene beads.
So kick out your heavy traditional sofa. Snuggle up next to a warm fireplace on a cold winter’s night, Sapphires can be a girl's best friend
Commercial grade fabric suitable for cafe's, bars, hotels, cinemas etc.
The classic black is made fresh and contemporary due to the two tone texture with a slightly lighter deep charcoal fibre. Designed to go with almost any colour palate within your Interior space. See swatch for visual reference.
This has a lovely texture but is a heavyweight and very hard wearing fabric. It's a two tone rectangular weave with a slightly lighter black fabric to give it extra depth. A fabric that is made for high end sofas, the Black sapphire is too good to use on a bean bag sofa.

WATCH: Funnelweb Zip & Tip Filling System in Action
Rec. Filling Instructions: As you will see, the Twin Couch is actually two single seats zipped together, giving it great versatility for furniture arrangement and seating preferences. Each of the two single seats has two compartments to ensure the filling doesn’t gravitate to the bottom as it does in other products. Inside, the special elasticated strapping pulls the fabric to give that lovely quilted look that is so admired. So it is important to have the backs filled very tightly to give great support and eye-appeal, whilst filling the seat to the perfect comfort level for you, which, for most people, means leaving the seat area soft and floppy so that the fabric moulds to your bottom.
Step 1.Take one of the halves of the Twin Couch and open the back compartment (using a zip tool or paper clip)and pull out the Funnelweb tube from inside the product. Zip the Funnelweb bag of beans onto the tube and lift the bag of beans to allow the filling to run into the beanbag. As you do this, massage and pat the outside of the beanbag to ensure you work the beans past the internal strapping and get as much filling in there as you can. Once you have filled to capacity, unzip the Funnelweb Bag of beans, (leaving a little still in the tube), and set the remaining beans to one side. Zip the tube closed and push it inside the beanbag until you can close the zipper. The beanbag back should now be tight and firm.
Step 2. Follow the same process with the seating section of the beanbag, but now make sure that you only fill it to around 80% full. Leaving the Funnelweb Bag of beans still attached, test the seat by pushing down with your hands to make sure it will sink down considerably when one is sitting on it. you can then add or remove beans until the comfort level suits you, then unzip the Funnelweb Bag and zip closed the opening to the beanbag seat.
Step 3. Follow the same procedure with the second half of the Twin Couch and once you are satisfied with both pieces, turn them upside down and zip them together. There may well be some beans left over in your Funnelweb Bag/s. These can be zipped closed and stored away for future topping up as your bean filling settles and compresses over time.
All our beautiful Ambient Lounge interiors fabrics are extremely high quality and built to last if we take good care of them. Here are some handy Care Tips:
If your open weave fabric thread becomes loose, simply cut it off. Do not pull it. Dust is best removed using your hand vacuum with the appropriate attachment. Avoid harsh brushing and sharp objects (rings, buckles, toys) as it may cause snagging of threads. To avoid your bean bag fading, it is best not to expose it to direct sunlight. For best safety, Your furniture should be placed at least 50cm away from any heat source. During the first 3-6 months, bead filling/padding will compress slightly and may require top up. This is to be considered as normal wear and a good reason why you should use the best quality beads such as our Premier Bead. As tempting as it may be, armrests & backrests are not designed to take seating weight so please try to sit as conventionally as possible. To keep your bean bag furniture looking amazing, you should plump and shake it after use to the bead filling and fabric return to their initial appearance.
Washing & Cleaning:
The good news is that all of our interior fabric covers are warm machine or hand washable in cold or lukewarm water. Please always line dry after washing. Decant the beads using the Funnelweb system before washing and refill afterwards. For ease of care you may also spot clean most stains and scuffs using warm water or a high quality fabric cleaning kit. Fabric protection kits are also encouraged such as 3M Scotch Guard.
Repairs and Warranty:
Like anything in life problems can occasionally occur. If seam splits or tearing occur with reasonable wear and time - please check with our UK team if that is covered under statutory warranty. You may email our friendly team with photos of the problem plus proof of purchase on firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0844 579 1112. (Most small faults or tears are also easily repairable).
